Food safety certs received by Sheraton Jumeirah Beach

The HACCP and ISO 22000:2005 certifications were received successfully by Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort; the former certification was held for the past six years.

HACCP principles are incorporated by ISO 22000 with ISO 9001 quality management systems compatibility. This makes it the perfect basis for implementation of a food safety management system that is cost effective as well as comprehensive. In November 2013 the HACCP upgradation and FSMS implementation project was initiated with a slogan that referred to the promise and delivery of safe quality food. The certification was received by the hotel within six months.

Dagher, general manager of Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort stressed on their particular pride at being able to obtain ISO 22000:2005 certification in conjunction with HACCP standards compliance. He remarked that one of their top priorities had been food safety and they will continue to pursue their aim of having the ideal system for food safety management. TUV NORD Middle East issued the certificates which will remain valid for around 3 years. The requirements of QMS ISO 9001 and HACCP are connected by ISO 22000:2005. Food safety and quality assurance system of the entire organization’s operation activities and not just the processes is managed by it.
