February 11, 2015 will witness the launch of Amarillo, the New Mexican Tapas bar, in Dubai’s the Pullman Hotel in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT).
Amarillo-the Spanish term for yellow is a combination of the most popular food sharing concept of Mexico namely Tapas with the Dubai cuisine. The menu is basically an amalgamation of Latin American and Spanish delicacies along with various hybrid dishes and serves 10 different types of sharing menus, including Greek, Indian, Italian, Arabic, and more, that are inspired by the UAE culture. The interior décor of the venue is designed on a white and yellow palette, with greenish tones and sudden pops of bright orange that add to the vibrancy and warmth of the place.
The white walls add to the futuristic feel along with the forest and earthy vibe brought by the furniture of the place. The pearly white mosaic floor of the bar has orange coloured mosaic bar tables along with open plan tables to add to the contemporary feel to the place. The ceiling of the bar is also themed accordingly with organically shaped mosaic mirrors. White funky lights are hung from the ceiling which bears an interesting similarity to the horns of a reindeer. Without DJ a bar will cease to have an appeal.
For the new Tapas bar named Amarillo, it will be DJ Michelle Love the leading (electronic) dance and music producer of Mexico who will be the resident DJ for the bar. Michelle has previously shared the same stage with Steve Aoki, Tiesto as well as Markus Shultz. Amarillo hopes to turn into a popular, uplifting and exciting after work destination with respect to the nightlife scene in Dubai. Located at the Pullman Jumeirah Lake Towers in Cluster T, it is open from 6pm to 3am every night and can also be accessed through the lake level. The Pullman Dubai that opened this year on the January 01 features a terrace lounge named La Vue, with an Italian restaurant called Manzoni as well as a rooftop pool bar.
