DescriptionLocated where the 311-Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Motorway meets the Al Qudra Road and developed by Union Properties, Motor City is a low-rise residential and commercial motor-sport themed community that includes residential units, motor-sports facilities and retail outlets. Its key components are the Dubai Autodrome track, opened in October 2004; Uptown Motor City a residential apartment development and Business Park Motor City. The master plan was originally opened in 2004 with plans to include a Formula One theme park, however, the project was cancelled after the 2009 financial crisis.
This community attracts primarily singles and married couples, however, families are also a key part of the tenant mix. At the heart of UpTown Motor City is a belt of retail units that includes coffee shops, a supermarket, restaurants, pet stores, beauty salons among other essential services. There are a number of schools and nurseries in the area such as GEMS Metropole and Kidville Nursery.
